Black Widow

Black Widow began it’s life as a KCC Strat style beginner guitar however the guitar was surprisingly good to play with the exception of the cheaper pick-ups.

In January 2014, after owning the guitar for many years but not playing it much I decided it was time to give it a face lift with a new Black Pearl pick guard in a HSS configuration.

All pickups were upgraded and the bridge pickup changed to a humbucking pickup. All fully rewired back to new pots.

Paintwork was given a little TLC while the guitar was apart also and the fretboard cleaned.

Now restrung with Ernie Ball Slinky Regulars the guitar plays and sounds very nice. It’s tempting to restring with Ernie Ball Slinky Cobalt strings but that can wait until it needs restringing.

Just one more thing needs adding to the guitar and that is the Black Widow logo to the headstock. This will also be done next time it is restrung since it will require a quick rub down and new lacquer.
